As our population continues to age, government should examine policies and programs that restrict older persons from fully benefiting from economic growth. Such policies include retirement rules that force older workers to leave the workforce upon qualifying for retirement benefits. They also include practices that deny older workers full access to education or training in formal or informal settings.
